  • PlastX = Good Stuff

I used some Meguiar's PlastX on my rear tail lights, whoever owned the car before me took the car through a car wash a million times and ever since I’ve gotten the car I’ve been working on removing all the light swirls and scratches off the car.

In the first 2 pictures I outlined where the scratches where

With the flash on it intensified them making them stand out more

In this picture you can see the results I got using a 6 inch buffer it’s like night and day the stuff made them like new again.

Purple bottle is Armorall cleaning wipes, PlastX is in the white bottle; I used a wax applicator bonnet on my buffer to apply it.

I just finished the rear filler; I buffed the hell out of the outlining black plastic then I lightly went over the bird and it brought the red back out, it used to look pink.

it's basically a fine cut rubbing compound, they just market it for plastic. i have it and use it, but i also had to use some fine cut rubbing compound once on another car and it worked about the same.

800 grit sandpaper and clearcoat will work as well ;)

Pretty cool, I didn't know you could make the bird red again. This will be good for future reference.
