  • install gfx b4 or after painting?

ok, so i finally got my gfx. my dad has some experience with painting and we have all the equipment needed. i was just making sure of one thing... i have heard it is wise to paint them after they are installed on the car so that they do not bend and chip and crack the paint while the gfx are being shaped onto the car, is this correct or no?

I would say paint them before mounting.

it wont crack the paint- the amount of flex that will be needed to mount them is minimal. i have an rs, and i just re-painted my whole car- take the kit off and paint it- everything will look alot better that way.

Also, just make sure you have the flex additive mixed in with the paint. The plastic is designed to flex a little. The paint could crack, flake if you don't have the additive.
