• fun internship at Nashville, but Firebird taking a beating... bra price?

how much is a bra for a 96 firebird? Since my trip here to Nashville, TN for a summer internship, my car has taken a beating :( I've noticed various new scratches, two of them looked like someone either keyed or rammed something across (above front left tire and right of the pointy nose). I also noticed several B B sized dents on the body near the front left signal light. My guess is that they are from rocks? And yeah, there are at least two noticeable chipped area on the nose now.

How much is a bra ?? Asking because I'll have to drive back... and it's gonna be 9 hrs back to S. Carolina.

The internship has been great so far, but I have to keep telling myself that all this can be fixed with money in order to get some kind of peace... it's sad.

I'll try to get some pictures up soon.

I think you can pick one up at Advance, Autozone, etc. for around $50.

How much longer are you in Nashville? Have you met up with anybody from the mtfba?

I don't have the link at the said moment, but I would advise against using a bra of the conventional sort.

I was talking to the guy at Advanced Autoparts in my town, and he said that he advises staying away from bras, because they hurt more than they help, especially on sports cars.

Apparently when the paint "fades" over time, the paint under the bra doesn't, and it looks horrible when you take it off, like a farmers tan, and sometimes, when driving, the bra flaps against the paint, and that can cause some intense scratching.

3m makes something that's more expensive than a normal bra and is cannot be taken off easily, but it's called an invisible bra, and the autoparts store said if he were to go with one, that would be it.

        I don't have the link to 3M's right now, but here's a well-known one.

My uncle had a bra on his '98 eclipse spyder, and after a good 6 months that everything under that bra looked like *** over easy. All that road grime was under it, and the bra flapped and shifted in the wind, grinding all of that in, creating massive scratches. Ontop of the fading paint, as mentioned before.

After I get my front bumper recleared, I'll be putting an invisibra on it, it looks great.

I hear ya... the bra was gonna be a one time deal for the 9 hour drive back. But I definitely have decided against using it now. I've heard of the invisibra thing, but for one thing they don't have a location any where near North/South Carolina. And is this something you put over your entire car, or just the frontend? I mean it would be great to have that kind of protection for the entire car.

First and third Saturday is a big cruise in at the Bellevue Mall. (west of Nashville) If I had posted earlier you might have been able to make it yesterday...

They just finished a cam swap over the weekend too. I think about 10 guys showed up for it.
