Hey I'm considering either the whisper lid or the new stealth super intake for my 2002 bird. I was thinking if i got the whisper lid I'd get it in carbon fiber cuz i think its pretty cool. but with the stealth lid, it only comes in plastic. what i want to do to spruce up the engine compartment is cut out a nice stencil of a stylized "3800" design and spray painting it in red on the top of the airbox...i think it'll look good, but i want a second opinion...or third or fourth...i need to know if it will affect airflow or hurt performance at all. of course I'm gunna paint it before i insatall it, without the air filter in the lid. i really want to do this and have something really unique that i designed myself that no one else can have. i think itd be real bada** lookin. let me know if this is gunna work guys!
