  • Pin stripes are coming off

I want to take off my pin stripes. Whats the best way to do this? My car is a 2000, when I take them off is there going to be a permanent line in the paint where they were?

Shouldnt be any paint change or fading... Use a hair dryer to heat and peel.

I wish I knew what compelled Pontiac and Chevy to put pinstripes on the Firebird and Camaro...I think they are hideous.

My car is a 98. I thought they were stuck on but they were indeed painted on so i used EZ off oven cleaner. No fading at all... looks better. Anyways I would send u a pic of the process but my laptop is dead and all of my pics and stuff are on it. *cries*

I hate my pin stripes. I'm gonna take them off for now, then when i repaint the car I'll not put any on it!

Pontiac and Chevy did not do it - it the dealers or owners who put them on.

Are you serious? That's really stupid.

Pin stripes very rarely look good...especially on F-Bodies.

"Special Paint Protection"? Probably a spray and wipe off wax that costs them 2.00 a bottle.
