• Got a paint gun!

Hooray! I bought a HVLP (high volume low pressure)paint gun!

Now I just need to practice a little and learn how to mix paint and I should be good to go.

I'm gonna start building a paint booth(filtered and ventilated, and spray with water before painting) and I need a drier and filter for the compressor I will be using.

I'm going to paint my parent's golf carts then my laser and then I'll start on the camaro.

This could be a few months though, but I'm happy to be finally getting the junk i need.

Here are the gun specs:

.6L reservoir, gravity fed
regulator with gauge
1.4mm nozzle
stainless nozzle parts

If anyone knows here I can get a 2mm or 2.2mm nozzle I would be appreciative, and any painting/prep tips would be nice (I plan on using base/clear).

For base/clear, the 1.4 is good. If you are going to spray a primer, get a tip with at least 1.6-2.0. Do not use your 1.4 tip with primer.

94teal: You know, it doesn't say. It's model AS1001 for what that's worth...LOL ($40 shipped, it looks pretty good, I can only hope it sprays pretty good!).

hockeyman: Yeah that's why I was looking for a 2mm or so nozzle. I just need to find where I can get one.

Lol, lets not forget the paintball industry is trying to change their image, they're called "Paintball Markers" . I thought the same thing.

got the same one at my house along with 2 bigger one's. I love that gun. it sprays nice and evenly and it flows good. Nice thing about that gun is it has little to NO over-spray. Good choice.

i call it a gun anyway. mine looks like a gun, and i'd probably get arrested for carrying it in public, even if it was unloaded and the CO2 tank was off.

Out of curiosity, after you spay something how do you dry it? Do you have a heat chamber or do you just let it set for a day?

I call mine a gun too. I think calling them "markers" is a joke. I meant that to be dripping with sarcasm, but sadly that doesn't work too well in text..
