• Pics of my !molding mod

    They're on page 3.

Page 1 has some pics with the original molding on the doors.

The molding has looked brown since I bought the car two years ago. I finally said to hell with it, and removed it. Looks a lot cleaner to me

Just thought I'd share the new pics

Thanks Dom! They are Borbet Type Ts, 17x9.5. Tiago has the exact same wheels.

whiteshark: I will not have closer pictures until sometime in mid-late May; my brother has the camera at college, so I am cameraless right now. As soon as I get them, I will post another thread.

how did you guys take them off?
I have heard that you can take a hair dryer put on high heat, warm up the tape and then take some fishing line, etc. And just slide it behind and it comes right off? Then probaly just some bug and tar remover for the rest of the tape? Is that how you did yours or what?
                I got stuff...

http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum

Yes, I wanna know how to get rid of those too. My car is a '94 so the paint isn't exactly new; will I have problems with a missmatch in the paint's color beneath the moldings?

You just answered you own question

Hairdryer to heat up the glue, fishing line behind the trim, once you can get a handle on it, just try and yank it off...it can be tough but it's gotta go! Bug and tar for the tough glue that won't come off with your hand, and for the REALLY tough stuff, I used a claybar (I'm sure rubbing compound will get the job done too)
