well i just put them on, took about 15 min. i closed the garage door and turned on the lights. they both look even and i almost think they don't even need adjusting. i don't really see how it could have got messed up when i replaced them. i saw the measurement bolts and i didn't even touch them to change the lights. i'm going to wait until tonight and check them again, but they look pretty good to me.

COOL!! I can't to read your reaction to the way they look at night!! My girlfriend didn't believe me when I said they were brighter and when she saw them she ate her words. So I installed a set on her mazda.

To each his/her own. Headlight adjustment is something that should be done annually. More of safety issue. Plus, cops tend to pull people over (around here)for any little reason. Ie., no license plate in the front, no light bulb for the back license plate, windows tinted, etc. I've gotten pulled over too many time (after having a few drinks) and anything I can do to my car to make sure a cop isn't going to pull me over I'll do. Cops tend to hate blinding headlights. But you're right, it isn't a big deal to take out and put in headlights w/o adjusting. I happen to be paranoid when it comes to losing my ride. :D

Here is my Xenon head light conversion kit...

I bought a while ago and they did not fit in the first place... i did some modification and now they worked!!!! they are 10 times brighter than any sealed beam light. plus i have 2 huge cyberwhite fog light, looks like HID at night.

BTW i tried other sylvania lights (cool blue...) they are NOT too much different from the factory light, they just got a blue tint on the lense or bulb, the actual output power DID not change.

get a HID kit if you got $$$ worth the money.

well i tested my lights tonight. my fist impression is that they are a lot brighter. nothing like an s2000 or something, but enough to make a difference. when i turned them on in front of the garage i noticed my passenger one looked a little brighter. not sure why, i took apart the driver side and reconnected it and its still like that. i went driving and parked on a dark road. i walked out in front of my car about 50ft and they look the same from the front. when i was driving it seems like either the right side is a little brighter or they are turned a little to the right. maybe i was just paying too much attention to them, but it seemed like they were off a little. i'm going to give it another couple of night drivings and see if they need adjusted. i think they're a pretty good upgrade for $33 and recommend them to anyone just needing something a little brighter to help them see better.

ALRIGHT! good to know it worked out! It could be that you see the right one at an angle more. I don't know. I liked those lights when I had my 93. good cheap and effective upgrade!

Uh.....just a little info for ya.

You don't have to re-align your headlights after changing bulbs!
The screws that hold the lights in have nothing to do with alignment, there are a few torx screws for that. You can swap headlight bulbs and keep the same alignment you had before.

That's true, at least it is on my Maro. The whole bracket that holds the light in stays there when the lights are replaced....

It's extremely easy to align them though, you should do it anyway!

I think it's close to $1800 to convert the low beams, high beams, and fog lights on a 98-02 firebird w/ the pop-up headlings to HID. they will still pop up, and you can get 2 stages of light brightness. stage 2 is brighter, and probably will piss off cops if u have them on, plus they're more purple than white. The cost of these are so extreme that I'd be much happier w/ a replacement brighter, possibly more blue/white light bulbs for my car.

i was happy with the difference between my old headlights and replacements. The difference was big enough for me to notice. My old lights were very dim. I wasn't looking for anything aesthetic I just wanted to SEE better. I know my lights needed realignment because the bright zone on the new ones weren't focused on the spot they should have been but that was probably because I had wrecked the front end of my car and the whole headlight mechanism had to be replaced. DOn't know if the body shop every aligned them or not. I aligned them so that I could get maximum illumination. I would be curious to see someone replace their stock with new bulbs w/o adjusting to see if there's any difference, considering where the bright zone would be. Probably shouldn't be a big difference.
