  • Breaking Seal instead of conversion kit for headlights

I heard some people just talk about breaking the seal and you can just use the 9006 9005 then? If i coould save some cash instead of buying the conversion kit that would be great.

How much does that conversion kit run and please post more info about breaking that seal, I too hate the stock halogens, I have after market fog lamps from Pilot and they make the headlights look like gar-ba-ge.

I'm pretty sure the conversion kit is like $50-$60. Its nothing more than someone that broke the seal on the regular headlights.

To do it, just take a flat head screwdriver and pry out the stock bulb from the glass. Just be careful not to crack it.

It's pretty easy, the hardest part was unscrewing the bulb to get it out of the car. ;)

Not too sure about that one, you would have to look (I'm a Camaro guy) But as far as the heat melting it? Melting what? The silicone or the bulb? It wouldnt melt either.
