You can get a Harwood ss hood from jeg's for $430 plus shipping. From what I hear, they are really good quality. I believe that it is functional, as well.
i wouldnt buy the cheapest if i were you, you get what you pay for...most likely the cheaper one will fit really bad...i got my WS6 hood from Moore Performance Products ( www.fiberglass-hoods.com ) and it fit just about perfect...one of my buds bought a Suncoast and it fits terrible on his car...
Good luck finding one at a junk yard. A friend of mine runs the largest junk yard in the inland northwest, and I have yet to see a wrecked 93-97 SS. So far the best places I have found is ebay.
There is a guy on there that sells them (I'm almost positive I saw one for a 93-97) for about $400.00. Here's a link to a 98-02 SS hood, I guess you just have to be patient for the 93-97's

is there a special ram air i have to get or will the slp one work with it?

I think the catch is that the hood is not functional at all. That is the reason for the less expensive price.
from the way it looks how it fits.. it seems like u'r gonna need some hood pins.
but thats the hood i want.
