• Calling everyone w/ neon under car glow.

I'm going to purchase the StreetGlow Gold Series green under glow for my 96 camaro. The kit comes with 2-54" bulbs and 2-30" bulbs. I don't want the bulbs to show, just the glow. Who else has installed this kit, and what does u'rs look like?

Calling RedNinety5, EternalVertigo, and O2bsogood. Do you guys have the gold series kits? If so did you have any fitting problems w/ the 54" bulbs?
RedNinety5, you said mount them inside the frame, where are you talking about, and will the 54" bulbs fit inside the frame? Please, give me a pic.
EternalVertigo:You said use zipties, but after looking under my car I didnt really understand how you would use zipties. It doesnt look like there is anything to put them around. Please Help.

Here are a few pictures of mine. It looks alot brighter in person. And also the glow is on a blacktop so its not as bright. But if you see it in person it looks totally different! I love it...

    Kinda blurry!

    Hope you like.....

I got the gold series. I can't help you on them not showing part. Mine show on the sides and just barely in the back. But you have to be pretty far back to see them. I used the screws and attached them along the pinch weld across the bottom of the car. I used the zip ties to tie the wires up everywhere, thats the fun part. But if you could use zipties on the whole setup instead of screws that would be the way to go, but I don't know how that is done. Good luck.

Get your car on a lift and you'll see the inside of the frame i'm talking about. Where most people make the mistake is mounting them on the outside or bottom of the frame. Mount them on the side of the frame facing the middle of the car. You'll get the same glow, and in the pictures above, you don't get the large glow range in the back because he mounted his in front of the muffler. Mine is mounted behind it, and it glows a lot from the back, and you have to be at least 25 yards back to see the rear bulb. You are probably going to have to use screws on the side ones due to the lack of pieces to ziptie them to. I used screws on the ends of all of my bulbs, and zipties in the middle for extra insurance. I just recommend getting a lift to put your car on then working from that. It makes it so much easier to see what you're doing and you have more room to work. If you follow my instructions, you'll see the great results. As I said, I always get questions on how I get the bulbs hidden. And, yes, ground effects will hide the rear one. I've installed about 200 of these kits on many different cars for the local shop. Trust me, this is the way to go. If you need anymore help, e mail me.

Your back tube will show, no matter what. My side tubes both show because I just stuck them up where the jack goes (I didn't want to sacrifice any light ). There's a picture of mine in my sig, and if you want more, or need any help or pointers, let me know.

you won't sacrifice any light if you put them where i'm telling you to. The excuse most people use for putting them directly on the frame is "I didn't want to sacrifice any light." That's a lame excuse IMO. Because you won't sacrifice any if you just put them inside the frame. It looks less tacky also. If you see the bulbs, it looks sooo stupid. That's not the point of neons, you are suppose to see the glow and not the bulbs.

Hey Red, when you say behind the muffler, do you mean on the side of the muffler closer to the middle of the car? And where should I mount the front one exactly?

Don't tell me my opinion is BS. I was under the car looking at places they can be installed, and some of the light WOULD be blocked if I put it inside the frame, like you say. It's farher away from the outside of the body, and there is a little "lip" that would block some of the light going that way.
