How hard would it be to make the top on a Camaro the same as a Corvette? You know, where you can remove the whole thing? Has anyone done this? Is it even possible?
also known as a targa top. try a search for more information.
its been done. a guy over at camaroz28.com has done it. there are pictures of his camaro floating all over the web. someone will probably be able to post one for you.
there are structural integrity issues with this though, which makes it slightly more difficult. when you cut out the center post on the top youre weaking the car quite a bit. subframe connectors by them selves would most likely not be enough to cut it either, but i dont know what would.

hehe the guy that did the first one lives in Orlando
Its cool, there are some structural integrity isssues, I have heard that the "top" has issues with coming apart(made of carbon fiber). Its not easy to store. But its do able just get some good subframes and make it like a Convertable.
ANd his C5 tail panel is freaking badass there was some talke of making it to sell but I don't think he is going to.
I have talked to a good friend of his that helped him and he said its no really worth the headaches it has given.
