Colors..

I've tried to avoid it, I said waxing would make it better but its just unavoidable, even my Dad said its time.. As most of you know my car is a 94, and was previously wrecked before I got it so the passenger side front fender has been replaced and the colors arent all that well matched. But I've noticed spots of chipped paint, faded paint, thin paint, scratches, all that stuff. So I've decided its time to save up to get it painted.
My decals are white, only on the windshield outside CamaroGirly the chevy symbols are red. My neons are pink. The interior is light grey and dark grey for the most part.
I've thought about just getting it redone in red. But I really want some other color, red isn't a personal favorite of mine. I was thinking somewhere along either black or a light blue color.. What are yalls opinions? Keeping in mind I want it to match the interior and neons.

first i think you have a beautiful car. That said, i think you should stay red. Like has been said before, nothing (imo) looks worse then a black or blue car (for example) with red in the jams, under the hood etc.

Now if you are going to save up for a great paintjob where they paint everything (several g's to do) the same color just pick whatever color you like most. I am partial to red (hated it before i got my red camaro). I think a very metallic red would look wonderful on your car. It is the color i am repainted mine when i finally need one.

If you go with a regular paintjob, just think of the nice blue/black/whatever outside and opening the hood and seeing red.

Just my opinion.

I've got naturally red hair that I dye black, just for an example of how much I dont like red. LOL. I'm going to look around here at the paintshops.. I'm kinda wanting to save up and get ghost flames.. But I also want racing stripes.. so I dont wanna OVERDO it on the stuff.. So I dont know which I want yet..

I you want both black and red, get the car painted with a black base coat, then have a red pearl sprayed over top of that and in the clear. Car will look black most of the time with a red overtone, and then when a camera flash, or bright light hits the car, it will look red. It's not the color change paint, but it's a very classy way to have a red reflection basically.

its hard to match pink neons with anything but pink :D

seriously though, if youre going to go through all the trouble of getting it repainted, pick whatever the heck color you want, and then work from there. you dont really have enough of any one accent color to say "I want it to match this part and that"

Besides, if you want my opinion, i dont really think the pink and red go together all that well.

how bout black, with pink stripes and pink neons!

i say black of course, or white, that will go with ur neons....and as for stripes u can get them in pink too or flames in pink

Here is my idea for you Britni, go find a $12 model kit of your car at a hobby shop or locate one on the internet. I found this site for my 4th Gen 96 Camaro model and painted it black. You can also decide later to add racing stripes or a flame job or whatever you wish to have final ideas on your next paint job to see how it would look. Loochy and 916.. Thats was my FIRST idea.. Black and pink go well together!! I wanted black with maybe a subtle pink flame... But I would be stuck between flame or racing stripes! lol thinking it would more than likely be stripes rather than flames, as I actually dont have the kinda money it takes for tha airbrushed flames I want. lol

Go w/ black. and then you can do a Pink ghost flame. I don't know what you had in mind for flames, but ghosting them aren't that expensive. But if you go w/ any other color than red, you're gunna have to do the door jams, under the hood, in the trunk... anywhere that is red, b/c it'll look tacky. So... I'd say go w/ black. And the interior looks good w/ black, I should know, I have a black car... the only draw back w/ black is that you can see every imperfection in the paint. i.e. swirls, scratches stuff of that nature... but if you take care of it, it'll look awesome

I wanted ghostflames.. thats the only kinda flames I would get put on it.. But daddy said I can't get pink ghost flames on a black car? Would you happen to know where I could find a picture of it maybe, so I could get an idea on how it will look?

I saw the most awesome bird yesterday. I had never seen the color before. I stopped by the dealer to ask what color it was and the guy told me it was called silver birch. [img]graemlins/love.gif[/img] I think I am in love with it lol. I think you should go with that :D anyone got a pic of it?

I'd go with hugger orange! and maybe a front end conversion if you can afford it, but hugger orange is a hot colr, and its very classic.

what sort of money are you looking to spend on this paint job, cause for the right money you can get some pretty mean looking things done.

Well, I want something nice.. I'm going for a show car.. So I know it's going to be quite a bit. I'm not going to be getting it like right now, I'm going to pick out what I want, get price estimates on everything and then save up! Live off Mac and Cheese awhile.. lol So any suggestions Loochy.. go right on and suggest them! I know it's all going to end up being quite pricey.
