I have had vinyl racing stripes on my firebird for about 6 months now and I want to extend the stripe down through the spoiler onto the rear bumper, I am having trouble with the curves of the spoiler and the stripe comes out looking like crap, does anyone have any tips that can help me out????!!!! plz

I Had the same problem on my rear deck stripes.
What I did was:
I laid the top section of the stripes out leaving the lower half loose. Actually, I only applied half of the stripe above the curve, and let dry overnight. The next day I heated the loose half of the stripes with a blowdryer and applied the water/soap solution to the lower half of the body, and slowly stretched the stripes into their position. The tricky part was that you will need someone else with you to apply heat from the blowdryer as you are holding the stripe(s) down. The heat stretches the vinyl and allows them to re-form around curves, and speeds up the drying process too. After about 3-5 minutes of holding the stripe down, slowly let go and then go over them with a small rolling pin to squeeze the water spots out. Takes some time, but my stripes came out awesome!
