  • Getting wax & stuff off rough plastic

After my car was painted there was white drips and stuff not paint but other stuff and I got some wax on that plastic between the hood and the windshield. Looks tacky how do you get that off?

the thing i found out that works the best is nxt cockpit shine. it is for you interior and shine and smells great. but it also removes the white streaks from wax.

i tried the mothers back to black but it doesnt work that great.

Armor-All!!!!! works great!!!! Get a fairly firm brush, spray on the AA and start scrubbing...it will come off easily. Be careful not to get the AA on your paint or windows. It is a PITA to remove..

armor all tends to dry rot plastics and vinyls over time.

the nxt nourishes with oils so it makes it look deeper and last longer.

The debate about armor-all is continous and by no means resolved: rumors abound that it cracks dashes, etc. I use 303 Aerospace protectant on my interior now, but only because AA is more greasy. The new formula for AA is said to be better, and oil-free. It's not going to kill his plastic to use it every once in awhile removing wax though.

Armor-All only hides the white streaks... no?

At work i use Simple Green along with a fairly stiff brush to remove these white marks. This method works, but it still requires some effort. After this step, then i go over with an exterior dressing. The end result... it looks as good as new!
