  • Ram Air Hood UNIQUE painting

My ram air hood is being painted this week. The question is whether to paint the hood nostrils and front fender nostrils a different color. My car is in the sig. I usually leave the front light covers on which are a shade of black (but not the normal painted glossy color). I was thinking of doing the nostirls black and rest pewter. I tried to used MS paint, but that did not do it justice. The only close pic I found was on mecham, but this is kinda radical for my tastes ... http://www.mechamperformance.com/d_docs/h_FIRg4f.html

Anybody else have any pics or suggestions?

I would eventually like to do nostril graphics (some sort of stripes) and WW front.

    Thanks

If you really have the need for accents, my personal thought is to accent the recessed parts (nostrils in the ram air and bumper inlets below the hood)in black and leave the rest of the hood alone. This would also work well if you decide to add stripes later on.

Personally, lots of flashy graphics can get to be too much. Lots of things can be applied, but I think the simpler the better and that a lot can sometimes be too much.

I like the look of your car the way it is and think that the appearance would benefit greatly from a simple pewter ram air hood. But that's just my thought... good luck!

Yeah, I agree with fenderman, but does anybody have any pics besides the Mecham that I found?
