• NTX Tech Wax question

Okay.. Hopefully you car detailers out there can help me with this. I read all the post including the sticky about proper ways to wash car. Heres what I have been doing. First a I went out and bought meguiars car wash and then NXT tech paste wax also a mothers clay bar. I washed my car with the new car wash (btw that stuff kicks @ss). Then I clay bared the car (mmm cinnamon). washed the car again. then pulled into a shadey area behind a building and waxed her up with the ntx tech paste wax. I'd say about 4 hours of work. Is this a good routine for detailing and how often should I be waxing with the NXT tech wax.

Which brings me to my other question. I love the ntx wax but somebody told me that its pointless trying to build coats of it because it has mild cleaners in it. so I would just be wasting it? is that true? I was planning on putting more layers on it to get more depth and a better shine. My car is silver so I really want to the best results for shine on it. or is one layer of NTX once a month enough?? or however often you should need to but a new layer on. help pleaseeeee

I put multiple coats of my wax (Eagle 1 Nano Wax) on when I wax, and it really does make it shine more, I think, but I dont know if it builds for sure.

Thats what I was going to do but somebody told me NTX tech wax has mild cleaners in it so it is pointless because you would be taking off the old wax and aplyig new wax at the same time

From my results, you can stack NXT..but only 2-3 times before it starts to be a waste. 2 layers seems to give me the best results..but my cars dark green.

NXT is not a good wax to layer...the only point in applying more than one coat of NXT is to make sure you get maximum coverage. I apply one coat to the entire car and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. You have to let it set for this long to get the best results. After you buff it off, layer it with something else, like a carnauba or a sealant that doesn't have cleaning properties. I tried NXT-->Klasse Sealant Glaze-->P21S carnauba and it worked OK.
