It's not really that big of a deal, but all i did was take a wet rag with lestoil and wipe everything off. still tryin to get some of that caked up grease off but that will take some hard rubbin'.

    WOW! That's almost actual size

Looks good, but get rid of that ugly "81" written in yellow on your air filter housing.

Cool. Cool. Take care of her.

I don't mean to be rude, but looks like you have quite a bit of rust under there? The pulleys, bolts next to whisper lid.... looks like it's starting on the whole block as well. :( Just kinda wondering why? I have about 58k on my car and actually don't take superb care under the hood... I don't have anything like that and mine is a 96! Salt on the road up north?

well, its a michigan car, and i dont know much about it other than it used to be an under cover cop car up until about 84k miles when i bought it about 3 weeks ago. (youd think the city would have better maintience checks? although im sure [he] never cared about the condition of the car/rust.) basically all i did was wipe most of the dirt off, so the pictures arent gonna be that different.

There really isnt anything I can do about the rust, is there?

greased lightning engine degreaser works great for me. it also helps with the stock silver painted wheels. takes brake dust right off. :D
