• Thorq Thrust or C5 wheels

I was thinking about getting new rims and was torn between two rims. Thorq Thrust and c5 wheels, I was also considering the 200s american racing rims but I havnt seen any on a camaro and didnt know if it would look ugly or not.

I was wondering if someone had a picture of a camaro with thorq thrust wheels on it and a picture of the 18" c5 wheel on a camaro, and maybe if you could find one with the 200s wheel on a camaro.

One of the things holding me back from choosing is either chrome or polished. the c5 rim would be chrome but the thorq thrust has to be polished cause thats the only finish it comes in with a size of 17" or higher. If i get polished would I have to keep it polished everyday to keep it looking like chrome and will it get that faded look cause I cant stand that look on peoples rims.

Here are some pictures of my camaro with TTIIs:

      Picture 1

      Picture 2

Those are without me polishing them, just washing them really squeaky clean.

These are pictures after a full polish (you won't see a big difference):

      Polish 1

      Polish 2

Polishing is a long process, no way I'd do it every week. However, it brings out the shine a bit more.

Just washing it every week will be absolutely fine though .

Well if I dont have to polish them all the time and a quick wash will do then I will get the TT2's.

Also is there a way to stop all the freaking brake dust on my front wheels? it looks like I have black rims on the front and silver on the back, and sometimes when I wash it they dust doesnt come off and then I have to wipe them down and its a pain.

Pressure washers don't get a car clean. You should be using a sheepskin mitt on the whole car, including the wheels. Just make sure you rinse the mitt good after cleaning the wheels.

Polished wheels will show water spots too, but if you're drying the rest of the car with a shami it's not a big deal to wipe down the wheels also.

He's right, polished wheels show water spots. Goin through a puddle? Do it slow. They also get dirtier faster.

I wash my car every week (unless it gets below freezing every night, then I wash it every two - three weeks) so it's no biggie. Just plan on a regular wash routine for your wheels if you get the TT2s

Don't go higher than 17s on a 3.4. It's too much for us to move. Personally...EVERYONE and their dog has the TT2s (mustangs and camaros alike). The c5s are clean and more original for the f-bod.

i have them on my firebird and i wash my car every week and polish every six months and for the most part they stay very shiney. ( i say for the most part becasue i live in an unfinished sub division and there is dust everywhere so its hard to keep it clean)if you get them i recomend wenol polish its good stuff

For your car i would say TT's. I think they would fit nicely on it.

Those are both pretty common rims that people go with, but TT's are fugly IMO. Go for the C5 rims.
