It's allright man. I have that problem too. I washed my car yesterday (well, had to hurry and do something else, so I did a half-a$$ job)
Then I came back about 3 hours... my car is dark-blue with a yellow tint.2000 NBM Pontiac Firebird
3800GT Performance Package

Intake, Magnaflow Cat, Flowmaster Cat-Back

california duster from pep boys or advanced auto, or where ever you get your stuff from. It works pretty well. Just use it right before you take a drive.
It'll take off anything that isnt on there because of water. IE: mud, water spots...

Ever see pollen under a microscope? It is EXTREMELY abrasive. Using the Cali duster on it just moves the abrasive pollen under the car until it is "absorbed" by the Cali duster. The pollen will stay in the Cali duster, and next time you use it, the Cali duster will rub the rough pollen into the paint of your car.
When removing pollen, using only soap & water. The Cali duster is great!....for dust and slight dirt. Pollen is way too abrasive, and over time, I am sure you will see some small scratches sooner or later....probebly sooner if you have a dark color.
I read this info from MikeLS from CZ28.com's Detailing section. If you've ever been in that section, you know that that guy knows his shizzle very well, and I trust him.

dirt and dust are dritty as well. Pollen is softer than dirt. You cant feel pollen, but you can feel a grain of dirt. I havent had any problems with it and I've used it all week.
Not saying you're wrong or anything, but I just dont see how pollen can do anything but dirt doesnt. I'm not buying the more abrasive thing.
Zaino however helps. It does something to the paint so its not statically charged, which stops pollen from sticking.

Oh Great and Powerfull MrCoffee...
How do I stop the pollen from taking affection to my glass, specifically the t-tops? (it ruined one of my photo's and that was 40 minutes after cleaning them)Sinister Six
Cardomain
--This doesn\'t change the fact that I am ~The Guru~ who still kicks puppies...

theres nothing you can really do to stop pollen from sticking to your car. I was just saying what I heard helps. Of course, a garage and living in the desert helps too, but thats not always possable.
Keep the car covered, I dont know. Take the car to one of those do it doityourself places and snap the pic there. That way you're in the covered aread and pollen cant fall onto your wet car.

Microscopic pollen is on the right. I don't know about you, but pollen looks way more abrasive than dirt. The reason you feel dirt is because it is larger. It does damage, but pollen covers EVERY bit of your car. Pollen has those spikes on it so it can stick to things like bees easier for pollination. Here is a pic of dirt.

Sorry, can't do it. The car cries out to be photographed in it's natural environment. I can't box it in like that. :DSinister Six
Cardomain
--This doesn\'t change the fact that I am ~The Guru~ who still kicks puppies...
