i was all crazy about them when i put em in earlier today, looked very white, but it was during the day and i didnt have my headlights on...

hmmmmmmmmmmm these pictures still dont do them justice though... i need to take shots during the day, ill get more pics tomarrow morning and post them.. that way you can see them during the day. i went out and checked, they only look slightly blue when compared to the headlights...
              gaaaay.

i wondered what would happen wiht the leds but if you notice that when you put the headlights on that the brightness level drops cause when i put some hyerwhites and the turned green. if you could figure out how to dedicate the power to them that they get when the headlights arent on.

FYI: LEDs are monochromatic (one color) devices. The color is determined by the bandgap of the semiconductor used to make them. Red, green, yellow and blue LEDs are fairly common. The most common form of "white" LED really isn't white. Its a Gallium Nitride blue LED coated with a phosphor that, when excited by the blue LED light, emits a broad range spectrum that in addition to the blue emission, makes a fairly white light. The actual light has a blue cast and is similar in color to a mercury vapor street lamp.

                            what are you saying.

does that mean that possibly when the power is reduce the blue is more prominent? if not, what do you think would help make them white?

SORRY FOR POSTING SO MUCh lol.... i did notice that alot of my posts were filling this thread

The DRL on firebirds are also the front turn signals. Are you sure about the state laws in your area that you can have them white? It is my understanding that front turn signals have to be amber. You may want to double check.

Either way, those look really nice

                                what are you saying
To keep it simple.... white LED's are really coated blue LED's. They will always have a blue tint to them and there's nothing you can do about it. ;) :D

Actually, the white LED's are more white than the rest of your lights. Incandescent lights are more of a yellow light than white light. I'll see if I can find a comparison on a light spectrum.
