  • LOOK! Aluminum Interior update

Ok guys, I left off with the door panel, I am going to get the real aluminum and brush it, then maybe clear coat it or somthing to protect it from rust/fingerprints and all that junk, but i have just finished my center console, i am ahppy with it, i have the "under-steering wheel" panel, glove box, and door switch bezels painted with autozones textured graphite paint, and i must say i REALLy like it. it is very close to factory color but it glimmers just a tad when light shines on it, really classy looking, and i know what classy is after i painted my whole interior a tacky cheesy silver color... uhgh... anyways, here is the page with all my aluminum junk on it

ill have the door panels done soon, then ill post some finalized pics of that, soon the whole interior will ROCK!!!

Looks excellent! Could you tell me exactly how you painted your interior, I've been trying to paint my trim pieces for quite some time now, and yours is perfect.

So did you wind up going with tin flashing, or did you find aluminium?

i am going to go with aluminum here in a little while, once i get my nitrous situation...situated lol.... oh and thanks everyone,

99Firebird44 - I used this stuff called "Textured Graphite" from autozone. it is really "chunky" but it is pretty hard to make it run and it does a really nice job at mimiking the stock color, but adds a little shimmer to it... its weird, its like sometimes slightly lighter than the interior and sometimes darker... depends on the lighting, but i love it, and my gf loves it, and she hates EVERYTHING i do to my car. so there you have it.. they have a lighter color too but i would recommend the graphite it rocks.. no prepping needed either and its still on! well i sanded a LITTLE just enough to get the gunk off... then cleaned with water thats it. prolly dont even have to sand lol... but thats just lazy me, go sand it and clean it properly lol...
