• Anyone with AVS rear blackouts

How did you guys get rid of the AVS lettering on these blackouts? I tried a razor but it seemed to be scratching the lense quite a bit. My GTS front blackouts came right off with some rubbing alcohol and a cloth.

You use 1500 grit sandpaper, and 3M polishing compound, and the AVS is gone

Nail polish remover... don't rub it too hard once it's off!

Another vote for nail polish remover. On another note: One of mine fell off, so I gotta get another set.

I lost my turn signal blackouts that way... I suggest adding some extra pieces of velcro, because 2 pieces per cover is not enough! I put 4 for each piece. I was thinking of using nite shades spray and maybe selling the taillight blackouts.

No prob! That was the first thing I did before I installed them. I think it looks a little gaudy with the AVS...
