I don't know about the removable top..but it is possible to do a T-Top conversion.. Do a search..you'll find a ton of results. Here's one I found, this website was given by mkraha.

contact whistler over at camaroz28.com. He did a targa top converstion on his car. He had ttops though, and used the same holes and handles for the latches. Its a cool mod though. email him, but before you do search for the thread, I think there's about 4 on his targa top.

you'd be lucky to get anyone to do it; especially for a reasonable price. too much liability in cutting off the roof.
wouldn't even mess with a targa. right now it's a one-off car which means ONE person has done it.
i put t-tops on my own car as several on this board have. it's not extremely difficult, just tedious.
the search button is a pretty cool feature.

I've heard a few people have done the targa top, and I guess he is one of the only fbody owners that has something of the sort but in my opinion he 'jocked' the targa top idea from corvettes and other cars. Thats almost like saying because someone put twin turbos on their car you shouldn't copy their idea when it's not really theirs, they borrowed it in the first place. So being just me, i don't know about all you other guys but I don't see anything wrong with putting a targa top on your car, it's freakin awesome. That would be something I would want to do in the future.

If you already have t-tops it wouldn't be too much of a problem to do yourself, and the t-top conversion could be easily done byyourself, then convert to a targa. I don't see what would cost so much money. Glass isn't that much. I'd just get an extra set of t-tops and do a lot of measuring and get a glass place to make a glass peice for the whole roof. Then put the molding around and all that good junk.
