• 30th anniversary interior

i almost bought this car last april, but the owner was lying to us about a couple things. he told us it had never been wrecked, yet my dad and i kept finding several things showing it had been. (small bend in frame, mismatched paint, replaced windshield, overspray in engine bay, etc. we kept finding more and more things wrong with it. plus, they wanted too much.) my question in, how rare is it to find a 30th anniversary camaro with the color-matched interior?

the red and grey interior is one of the things i loved most about the car. i've been looking since then for a camaro with an interior like this one, but i haven't had any luck. i've never seen any other camaro with a matched interior. so how rare is it?

VHT makes some kind of dye that you can paint onto your seats if you really want it...I don't know how well it works, but if I was to judge based on other VHT products, I would say go for it.

BTW, I have those same exact pedals! They are so cool! AND they ALSO came with the car I bought

No detailed production #'s have ever been released for the 97 year model for some reason, 93-96 you can find and 98-02 but 97 all you can find is ss build #'s. I can tell you there prob wasnt very many cars with red interior, prob around 500 or so in comparison to the 95/96 year it was also available and I do believe it was only available in white and red production wise{Not counting special orders}. Ive only seen 3 other 4th gens with the stock red interior and never a 97 {I see alot of f-bodies}. Id say its going to be very hard to find another one, just keep looking. Ive been trying to find another Purple 98 Z28 with white interior for 3 years, I passed on one cause of the price in 2001 and been kicking myself since then. There was like 25 purple/white Z28s.

thanks, charles. that'd make the second one i've seen in my life. i'd only sell my car for two other kinds of cars at this point... and the car i passed up is one of them. i'm extremely picky about cars haha.

whats the big deal about it, the interior is exactly the same except for two parts that are colored, teh chairs and the doors, you could easily customize that for pretty cheap...

stock>trusting someone to permenantly dye my interior

the point is, it's pretty rare and i passed it up thinking it was common among the 30th anniversary cars. i'm still kicking myself about it.

I was lookin for those same exact seats at one point and found three pair in excellent shape on ebay. But I forgot the sellers name. I asked him how often he got those kind of seats and he said he came across them often enought to have three sets sitting around. Do a search on ebay and see what you find. Good luck to ya!

Hmm... Camaro seats in my bird... eh, it's worth it. I'm going with the ever-common black and red theme anyway. I'll give it a search and once the holidays are past, I might invest in some...

Check ebay too, ive seen some red interiors for sale floating around at times. Thats where i always find my good parts, sometimes you just gotta pay a good price for them though
