Im looking into buying this, but i would like to see it on a car other than the manufacter's (sp).
Anyone have any pics?

check out nikon's car ..his looks pretty sick..i used to have this kit on my car but dont have any pics..if you decide to go with it..dont forget to get a lower air dam..otherwise the front section blocks air flow to the air dam/radiator and believe me you will overheat your car in no time..these come with most ground effects packages for our cars but for some reason as far as i know it is not included with the xenon kit.. rksport.com sells them for like $75 [img]smile.gif[/img]

huh, I never have any problems overheating???...and I live in florida??? and btw you can see the kit on my car before it was painted so you can see what really comes in the kit...good luck ;)

for some reason some guys dont..i had a BIG problem with it..thats why rksport and wings west and some other companies include it with the kit..for better clearance (and to save dough) i guess i would try without it first and see how your car runs..then if you need it ..no big deal (i duct taped a piece of card board onto my air dam that came down about 2" lower until my new air dam was delivered)..if the damn roads around here were better i woundlt have sold it and i'd probably still have it on my car! [img]smile.gif[/img]

if you go to my cardomain site, on the camaro page, there are alot of camaros with this kit and i think the over heating thing just isnt true.

personally, i think the only thing a longer air dam is for is to scrap so you know your getting close to scraping your new nice body kit [img]smile.gif[/img]

2) FRONT AIR DAM DEFLECTOR (CAUTION: MUST BE INSTALLED TO PREVENT ENGINE OVERHEATING)
REMOVE FACTORY AIR DEFLECTOR THAT IS BOLTED UNDER THE CAR IN FRONT OF THE RADIATOR. RE-INSTALL THE NEW WINGS WEST
AIR DEFLECTOR USING THE ORIGINAL SCREWS FROM THE FACTORY DEFLECTOR.

...straight from wingswest.com's install instructions ..rksport's are the same ;)

its all a skeem to over price their kits by adding a BS air dam [img]tongue.gif[/img]

i guess its just a hit or miss thing. if you need it, buy it. if you dont, well....dont.

yeah it seems to be hit or miss..cuz i've talked to a few guys that had no problem...and i've talked to others that did..i bought the kit and had over heating problems..then i bought rksport's because i figured since the front section didnt come down as far it might be better..there was no difference..so i called rksport's tech line and thats when i learned about the aftermarket air dam..the factory ones dont require this because they do not come all the way across in the front (that swhy they made them that way) [img]smile.gif[/img]

ya, i learned that when i first got the car, i was backing out of my driveway and the air dam scraped and scared the living hell outta me, so i learned to not go straight on into curbs. Do u think this kit will look good with the higher SS wing?
