I am gonna get a new hood very soon and wasn't sure if I should get a bolt-on hood or a pin-on hood. I don't really know the pros and cons of bolt on and pin on, so i was wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks for you help!

i bought a pin on hood and it is a POS. unless your car is a true drag car that requires removing the hood every time you want to work on your car, i would not recommend pin on. there is a reason why they are cheaper! i'll sell you my pin on SS hood for $50. warning though-it is going to take a lot of work to fit a car properly. stupid POS from usbody.com6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

allright cool. so i should probally go with bolt-on hood then. I am getting the hood from usbody. So if i am goin to get the bolt on hood, what can i expect. no, bolt on is a regular car hood. i do not recommend usbody.com. i have a $180 POS in my back yard from them. there is a reason they are cheaper to!! i have heard nothing good about thier hoods. you will end up spending more than saving less.6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

I personally love my pin-on. I agree with the pain in theass though, it took a lot of work to get it looking right and fitting good. Mine only has the pins in the front though, so its still hinged, but i gotta prop it up when im under the hood, not big deal though. I get tons of comps on it.
Matt, still waiting to see what you decide...<a href=\"http://www.redlinevsix.com/blackbird.html\" target=\"_blank\">Blackbird</a><br />RedLineVSix Co-Vice President <br /><a href=\"http://www.RedLineVSix.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.RedLineVSix.com</a><p>BlackBird903@hotmail.com<p>AIM: Alpinestar05

my hood from RKsport was nothing but quality. It doesnt fit right BECAUSE when we were taking it to the shop, it flew off the truck and damaged both of the front tips and sraped up the hole bottom, however, when i say it doesnt fit right, i mean the front left corner isnt 100% alligned with the frame. i just notice it because its my car, but if that wouldnt of flew off the car, i know it's be perfect. Its worth the extra cash. the body shop that put it on even said it was the nicest aftermarket hood they had seen, ever.
