Use WD-40 to take off the residue. Soak a small area, let stand for just a few seconds, wipe off with a towel. I also used a plastic spoon to scrape away some stubborn spots. DO NOT use WD-40 in direct sunlight, and wash your car really good afterward. GOOD LUCK!

my car didn't have them on but i thought about getting them put on. then i decided against it. i could get all the moldings for 40 bucks. anyway. my dads car has them on his. it's black and i don't even notice them at all. i'm sure you'd notice them on my Silver RS though. oh well. i'm not getting them, i like it better that way Custom Ram Air, High flow cat, Dynomax cat back exhaust, high flow air box. I did it a few weeks ago. I agree, looks TONS better. My car had the doors repainted a while ago. Whatever they used to to stick those bastards on, was NOT OEM. My god! That little back peice came off easy, cuz it was the adhesive from the factory. But the stuff on the doors? My god, it was the work of the devil I tell you! It took me HOURS to get off. I finaly found some stuff called "Goof Off" took that stuff right off, and had no effect on the paint. It was nice 1997 Cayenne Red Metallic Camaro
3.8 V6 M5
SLP Cold Air Intake
Ceramic Coated Pacesetter Headers
Flowmaster American Thunder Catback
Full 3.42 & Disc Break Rear End Swap

fear of different colored paint, and fear of dents and dings keeps my molding on the car.
