  • Console Conversion Question:

I just bough a 2000 Camaro SS console from ebay, and I'm gonna install it in my 96 Camaro. I have read the install guide on www.projecttransam.com but I would like to get feeback from anyone here who has done this. There will be a large gaping hole below the dash, is there any remedy for this??
Here is the console I bought: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...403807297&rd=1

    Thanx for any help given.

    -Marc

I did it in my old 95. Didn't find anything to cram in that hole though :(

Does it show that bad? Because I may start thinking of a way to customize something to fill it in. I want this to look nice and somewhat stock. Any suggestions?

I read somewhere that a "storage pocket" out of a 94-98 (I think those are the right years) Mustang would fit in there perfectly. When I got my newer console and put it in, that's what I was going to try to fill the space with.

I don't understand. Whats the differance? Mine looks like that. Or were they different before '97?
