  • Ugly Radio Antenna

I really don't like the huge antenna at the back of my car. Hey I have a cd player, what do I need radio for? Is there any way I can just remove it without causing any damage to the car? Or possibly a smaller antenna that would just screw in?

get a power one, I think you can find one for about 50 bucks? at a auto shop or you can try and get one from GM.

I did the power antenna, love it except its silver, and not black, but atleast its not up all the time, It was $50 from autozone, and it was easy for me to install. If you still want the radio hooked up, get an extention cable that you can plug one end into it from the pwr ant. to the back of the cd player, other then that, you don't have to worry about that part. Also, after you get it put on, raise the antenna and straighten it, it looks kind of weird if it at and angle. Hope this helps. Also, to take the old one off, just take a wrench and unsrew the antenna, and take out the old anntenna, just a hole their, you might be able to plug it up with something if you don't want an attenna at all.

You can take the ball off the end cut the antena to your desired height and then JB weld the ball back on thats what i did i dont listen to the radio much so i dont know if it hurts the reception.
