  • Clear Dash knobs

For all you guys out there with The red backlit dash, this is something you may want to think about. You can "peel" off the black coating on your HVAC knobs. I did mine & it looks great. The only thing I need to figure out is how to change the light behind it so it glows red.

lol, ya i did that too and i got soooo many coments on it like, where do you buy those, or how did you do that. i thought i was the only one who did that.

I just took off the black covers that are on them. I am trying to figure out how to change the light behind them so they shine red. I was going to paint them with a stained glass paint, But I may get my car repainted yellow this spring & if I do I will change my inside lights to blue

Dumb question (from a dumb man): what are you folks talking about? HVAC? on camaro or firebird? Is that like in the instrument panel? behind the plastic?

I'm not too sure...you can take the knob off on your heater & look at the back of it. If it is clear, it can be done.

The firebird knobs are diffrent than the ones on the camaros. the camaro part # is 16229053 on the knobs. any local gm dealership will probaly stock them. you probally could innerchange them on the firebirds but i don't have one to check.
