WHATS UP GUYS, I WAS THINKING ABOUT BUYING 18'' BY 9.5" Z06 REPLICA RIMS. i need to know if these rims will fit on my 1999 firebird... the offset is 56mm. i've seen some talk on spacers, would i need them. also what size tires should i get to minimize the gap or just keep it where its at. i have the sport appearance package on my car, so i don't want to lower the car.
I wouldn't get rims that big. With 18x9.5 all around, you will lose about...say... about 3/10ths in the quarter mile, if not more... Our cars don't have enough power in stock form to warrent those rims/tires...
yeah well i have 8" rims with 245 (9.5" tires) and they do stick out a bit from the back (but not on the side in the fenders)... and i cannot lower it anymore as then they would rub my fenders..
i love the rims too, but i need to know is the offset for these rims will work for our cars. i dont want the tires to stick out at all, and i don't want any more wheel gap,,, if anyone has a list of the appropriate offset for different rim sizes that would help.. thanks for the input guys
Look in my sig, I have Z06 wheels on my car. The 18" wheels will fit. I went with 17" all the way around but I just might swap them out for some 17/18" combo. If looks matters to you get the 18" wheels, is performance matters, then don't go above 17" wheels.
