Hey does anyone have a pic of a car with a 20% mirror tint on their rear window (all 3 would be ok too)... I was looking at some today and it looks like it would go great with my car being silver but I would like to see it on a bird or camaro first.
Also, would cops come after me cause I am in jersey?

I've had it on my 98 Camaro, It looks okay until it gets old and the rear window is by far not the easiest to do... Also be aware that after this on cold days you will not beable to use your rear window defogger...
In Jersey... YES! I know a few state troopers over there and they LOVE mirror tinted windows!! Even PA troopes hate those tints.
I was wondering about this too... I know for a fact that they harrass ya for regular tint (been pulled over). I didn't think the mirror tint was that bad. Figures... can't have anything cool on your car around here without taking big chances of being pulled over. I swear, everytime I take a ride (which is rare) I'm nervous as hell that I'll get pulled over. That's why you need PBA cards around here.
If I could find a really light silver tint that would be very cool. Anyways the pics look great you guys (1DangerousV6 and dmw319).
Oh yeah... I was reading about the dot matrix and how to tint over it... they recommend using a very very fine sandpaper and sorta smoothing them out... or just painting it with some enamel which doesnt sound like a good thing to do. LOL
I was reading about nj laws and it said no mirror tint of any kind (but it said back window any %)... I have seen so many cars with the half smoke/half mirror (and colored mirror) on their cars and i wonder if they have any trouble. Personally i dont really like the look of that.
Oh and yes, I wanted to do this myself. I did my other car before and i didnt know what i was doing and i am sure doing it on my car would come out better. I know the back window is a pain in the butt but if I cut big strips and lay them over then carefully cut along the defroster lines it shall be ok.

Is it true you can't use your rear window defogger if you have a tint? My rear window defogger seems to work perfectly even though I have what appears to be 20% tint on it (I don't know exactly, it was there when I bought it).
