Should I leave the V-6 look or not

I want some opinions on whether or not I should try to convert my firebird 96 to look like the trans am by replacing the front bumper cover side skirts and the rear bumper cover...or should i leave it alone and concentrate on other parts of the car...I cant decide!!

puting a transam bumper on is about the same as putting "ss" or "v-tec" badges as far as i'm concerned. you dont have a t/a, dont try and look like it

I disagree.

Put a TA bumper on it if you like. I like how the TA bumper looks more than the stock Firebird bumpers.

It's not remotely the same as rebading your car. Then you're just faking it, and you should be pwned.

Elsewise, you're good. I know a lot of V6's within the areas that have TA bumpers, hatches, and skirts.

I like the firebird front bumper's better... the wings west kit really set's it off~a lot better than the transam's kit does.

Well, I say if you put a T/A bumper on you should make it appearent that your car is a v6 in some way. I have RS badges on my camaro so if I ever so the SS spoiler and hood smart people will know its a 6.

Why does it matter if people think it is a 6 or 8? Seriously, if you change the appearance of your car to what you think looks better, why does it matter if people mistake your car for something it's not? I can see if you got T/A badges, changed the rear middle piece to a T/A one, and talked as if your car was a T/A, thats a different story. But dress it as you like, I personally like the 93-97 T/A look better than the Firebird's look.

Do whatever you want, to me it looks better. 99% of people (outside of Fbody world) will not tell the difference. I had my bumpers replaced to have a TA look but have badges saying Firebird and V6.

It is your car, do whatever you like.

how is a T/A bumper different than a t/a badge or rear filler panel? all 3 are t/a specific peices, and there for indicate that the car is infact a t/a

I can pretty much promise you that no one outside of the Firebird world knows any different.

My car was next to a TA in the parking lot and my mom and dad could hardly tell the difference until I pointed them out.

They are so minor. Putting badges on is saying "I have something that I don't." Replacing body panels to make the car look, in your opinion, much sharper is completely different then pretending you have something you don't.

I have a TA hatch, TA leather, and soon to be TA Ground Effects. That doesn't mean I go around boasting I have a Trans Am. I like how it looks better.

And get this: no one knows any different.

The only indication you need to know its a Trans Am is the badges, which some remove, and the V8 engine that's going to leave any V6 wannabe in the dust.

Just because you swap body parts doesn't mean you're posing. If you're secure enough in your car, your engine will do the talking; not your body parts.

I got a slp ram air hood, and i want a eurbani body kit with trans am rear bumper and hatch, I also have the letters v6 in pewter with flames coming off them to let folks know i got a 6 i dotn wont anyone think i got a 8 when i out run them or they out run me, i still want my car to look badder than a v8.
