  • Is it "OK" to mix billet and chrome?

Ive always heard you find a theme for your car and stick with it. Ive got the brushed billet front grille and I was going to do billet throughout. Now ive found some awesome stuff on ebay thats chrome. Like RS badges, dash kits, door sills. I just dont wanna have everything clashing with each other. I guess If worse came to worse i could get rid of the brushed front grille and get a polished one. Any insight is welcome. What do you like?

First off, I've really been wanting to see your car, I keep seeing you on AIM but never have the time to drop you another IM. Maybe we could meet somewhere like Thunder Racing someday, but it's up to you. Anyway, I think finding a "theme" to your car doesn't mean having only one specific thing. I think almost anything goes with chrome, simply because it's so colorless and basically reflects everything that's around it. So for chrome to be mixed with something like the billet, I actually think it's a good idea. It's just my opinion of course, but I say go for it.

Chrome is the best way to go with a black car. I think that the billet/chrome combo would look great.

it'll look ok imo. i've got everythhing blacked out on the rear end of my car (tail lights, 3rd brake light, side marker lights, "camaro" decals) and i've got clear corners on tyhe front, and it looks sweeet. it's different, and it doesn't look dumb,. mixing & matching can look good.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
