  • interior LED bulbs

instead of getting glow gauges, i think id like to just replace the bulbs (5 of them?) behind the gauges, shifter (1 bulb?), and the panel under the CD player. probably get blue LEDs.

does anyone know the bulb part numbers, and how many LED's i would need to get for a 2000 camaro?? thanks

the bulbs you need are 194's. you can just get 194 style leds. they have them on ebay. you do need five. 3 for the speed and tach. 1 for the 2 gauges on the left bottom and 1 for the 2 gauges on the right bottom. theres 2 style of led light's available in the 194. one have one led and a piece if cupped plastic the makes it shine wider then a normal led. and the other has juts multiple leds on it. im nit sure which would be better. id say prob the one with multiple leds. see there a clear piece of plactic behind the gauges so the light shines on it and then it act like a fiber optic ad disperses the light.

as for the auto thing i dont know i have a manual soorry!

theres a bulb in the sliding indicator for what gear u have

unfortunately, the gear sliders light is just plain yellow/white and the actual plate that reads P R N D 1 2 3 has a red film in it, at least for my year, i know that another year it looked almost greenish... maybe you can get a white one and use the bulb u want

With blue LED's, the needles will be hard to see and any red in the gauges will not show or be very faint.

Been there, done that... went back to stock.

Yes. Go to any auto parts store and look at their bulb rack. It's a #73 instrument panel bulb, it'll say 73 right on the package. It won't use any other bulb, so make sure to get a 73 and not a 74.

                              i just ordered some LED's from superbrightleds.com

i bought 6 blue ones. i think i only need 5, but i got an extra one just in case. ill post some pics when i get them installed.

how hard is it to get them behind the gauge cluster for a 2000 camaro?
