I just bought some high polished ZO6 rims off ebay, and I have never owned a set of aluminum rims before, so I guess my question is do they have "bling" factor like my chrome rims? I mean I know they probaly wont have the mirror finish but as long as they are shinny and sparkle im kewl.
If anyone have any pics of high polished rims, can you post a pic for me or email me a pic.
email is ketteringstudent@yahoo.com
thanx for any and all information

Just make sure to polish them about once a week with mag wheel polish, mothers makes some good stuff I hear. And, after polishing them, you might want to put a light coat of carnauba wax on them for protection.
DO NOT USE WHEEL CLEANERS... just clean them with soapy water
well these rims are only 21 lbs a piece. that is hella light for 18's.
I think they will look okay. I am used to waxing my chrome alot anyway, so it probaly isnt going to be that big of a change for me.
If anyone has a pic of a polished rim so I can compare the "bling" factor I would appreciate it alot.
thanx

WOW those look amazing.
Doesnt have the wet look of freshly waxed chrome, but man I like the polish look, not to "blingie", but just enough to get the heads a turnin.

Yea they're pretty nice. Every Friday I sit down with a rag and container of Mothers Polish and go at with them for about 2 hours. I don't mind the work. They keep the chicks looking.
Hey Dom, you said earlier not to use Wheel Cleaner?? Does that go for Chrome as well? What is your reason for not using it?
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!
DO NOT USE WHEEL CLEANER ON ALUMINUM RIMS!!! Only soap and water. Take it from someone who had to polish 4 rims out with a wheel and by hand for 2 days to bring the shine back  Chrome is much easier to maintain, but you shouldn't use wheel cleaner on those either because the chrome will "pit". Soap and water only, please.. otherwise, you will pay the price.
