  • what color u guys think???

    I am gonna paint my calipers....I have a dark red (ceyenne red) 97 camaro. I was thinking going red but the only red caliper paint i can find is a bright red, would that look jacked?....i was also thinking of a silver or aluminum look
    SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

      Plasti-Kote makes a paint line called anodizit, it's a deep metallic (anodized) look to the paint. I've seen it from a couple of other companies with similar style paints. But they make a deep red color that would probably look awesome. I'm doing mine in the dark blue color. It's not caliper specific, however it does work to like 500degrees;I've heard many people have used it before, and it holds up just fine for them. See if you can find that, because those colors are awesome and would probably be just the red you are looking for. I've also heard from a lot of people that you dont need to get the caliper specific paints, as long as you use a high temp clear coat that it'll still work just fine.

        Take a look at my thread a few topics up, I just painted mine, and my car is the same color as yours.

          Duplicolor makes lots of colors and you can use their regular autospray which you can pick up at Walmart. I've done 5 sets of calipers with their paint over the years [img]smile.gif[/img] . Also be sure to clear coat with their product and mask everything off if you're not taking the calipers off the car.

            At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
            Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
