Well, I now have the next few weeks free before I start my summer job. Figured maybe I'd do a few simple things to my car. What color do you all think would go best for me to paint my calipers? I was leaning towards a blueish color, maybe like electron blue or MBM. I was trying to avoid red since it seems everyone uses that. What else do you think would look good?? Thanks for the input!

Wow, yours look awesome! I remember reading the thread a few weeks ago when she finished yours, great job. Do you think the blue would match my car well? I found an anodized blue at autozone that I liked a lot, but it wasnt high temp paint. Gotta keep looking I guess.
Just a side question, any of you Va people know if it's ok to put the front plate in the windshield when driving? The cars look so much cleaner minus the front plate.

I dont know about the blue, maybe silver bracket, black caliper and silver or white 'CAMARO' decal.
Front plate in the windsheild is illeagal. It has to be on the front bumper. I think its a secondary offense though, meaning they have to pull you over for something else first. Added fine.
I was just going to recommend the anodized blue or any blue for that matter. I've used the anodized paint before and like it alot. You dont need high temp paint either. Use Duplicolor's Automotice paint at Wal-Mart. Since your wheels arent too "open" painting them black wouldnt be good sicne they are hidden alot already. I'd go with blue and silver bracket. And no dont put your front plate in the front windshield/dash. Neither my boyfriend and I run front plates and just keep them behind the seat under the mat.

I used the high-temp brake caliper paint on my 2000 Silver Camaro. I used blue for the caliper and silver for the bracket. It came out pretty nice and I covered it with a lot of clearcoat.
MrCoffee's look pretty sweet too
Thanks for all the replys! I was thinking that blue with a silver bracket would fit in nicely. Basically the opposite of Mr Coffee's. So I can basically use any automotive paint on them? The auto store said the 500° Anodized blue wouldnt work, probably just playing it safe since it's not designed specifically for that. That would make my choice much simpler because the color looked really awesome. Guess I can run back to the store later today. Thanks guys!

Dont listen to anything anyone at the store says....was this the one up there off of Dale Blvd near Minneville? The MetalCast is fine to use. Mr Coffee's were pretty easy to do and I also used clear coat afterwards.
Im going to do mine when I get back from the Ocean City Cruisin show. I am not happy with how my polishing came out so Im painting mine the same as the front of the car. Just picked up a pint for $81!! Expensive paint!

Yeah, I figured the auto store guys weren't right on this, they said I could only use the caliper specific paint, of which they had two colors. It was good to get some input from you all though who know it will still work with the other paints to reassure me. Oh, and it was the shop that you're talking about. How'd you know? I guess I wont be asking them for advice then if they have a history of giving bad advice. $81/pint, wow! But I'm sure it will look awesome. The new paint still looks awesome in person too, I always look at it as I'm passing by.

Figured since you were around the corner you went to the store down the street. The one guy that works there always comments on our "GM" cars and that they are no good
