This isn't really an appearance mod, but I'm wondering about something, and this looked like the logical place to check.
I'm looking at a Firebird, that is $4K. The only thing wrong with it, is a somewhat worn looking steeringwheel ring, and a cracked dashboard. How much would a cracked dash cost to replace?
I think just sticking a ring over the 'wheel will make it look good again. Thanks!
A new dash from a dealer is gonna cost you around 200 bucks because thats what they wanted for a new console in my camaro. Try ebay or a junkyard...it's much cheaper that way.
I got one without t tops... and have regretted it since. I wanted t tops originally, but opted to not get them because of the price... and wish I had. I say definitely go for them if you want them
The thing about t-tops is they're either perfect and everything you expected, or just more of a hassle and you regret the purchase. T-tops tend to leak with age and new weather stripping isn't cheap. I'd much rather have t-tops also though.
eh, i thought they were great but theyre not. i ended up not getting em, cuz i found a car 2k cheaper than anyone else was charging. the one thing i would of benefited from them the most, would of been no roof waxing :( lol

Camera exposure looks to be tricked - there's blue sky out there, and the camera amped up the exposure so much (apparently) that the tint isn't readily seen.
When I bought my Firebird, I wanted one with T-Tops, but bought one without.
Solution?
I did the conversion myself.
Mind you, I must get my butt in gear and buy a new headliner.
My Oppinions? Unless you're willing to do the conversion down the road your self, or you're look for a serious sleeper/performer... T-Tops MAKE these cars... untill it starts raining...
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
