Anyone know if I can get chrome outer door handles for my 94 camaro? I've been wanting some but cant seem to find anyone with them... do they even make them?
They really only make chrome handles for the antique and classic firebirds and camaro's. The most you can do is remove your current door handles and cover them in the fake chrome contact paper...but it doesnt get more "ghetto" than that.
Hmm i never taught of chroming the handles, i have a friend that does chroming but he says he cant chrome anything as long as its metal or copper platted.
There was something on TLC a few weeks ago, like RIDES or OverHaulin', I'm not sure which (heck, it coulda been MTV with Pimp My Ride). Anywho, they talked about being able to chrome anything with a new technique. Somehow they were chroming plastic with some spray on technique. It was pretty cool, maybe you can google something on it.
eh, ya its a new paint....expensive shiat, noone remembers the bimmer that they painted the whole car with that stuff?...mitsu is using it for there wheels now...chrome impersonation....whats the world coming too :(

[QUOTE] lol oh well.. guess I'm going with the front end conversion then.. Just gotta find a 94 firebird [QUOTE]
why would you convert to a 94 firebird from a 94 camaro? im just curious when you could probably convert to a newer camaro front end or even throw on a newer firebird front clip if thats your thing i guess.... just wonderin what was up... later

converting a front end to firebird will look especially awkward because the pieces will not line up correctly where the doors/fenders/mirrors meet. unless you plan on doing some serious body work it will be hardto get this to look anywhere close to right. even then im not really sure how it will look. it has been done before, but i think it was the other way around. gm made an fbody essentially out of spare parts to do some testing with. didnt look all that great.
If I get it done by a professional (money.. I know) I dont think it would be that bad.. Dont get me wrong, I like the camaro front end.. But I wonder what pop up lights would look like on the camaro? Thats what the front end off a 94 firebird would be for.

I'd fab up some sort of custom flip up light thing before I put a firebird front on my car, but that's just me, or maybe that's what you were trying to say?
