    found this goofin around online. think it would be possible to use these on street vehicles? it looks set-up for more of a chassis platform, but if it could be converted to street applications it might settle the whole power to weight ratio us V6 f-bodys have against the sport compact scene.

      yeah thoes are mostly used for like 6-7 second drag cars that no longer even resemble firebirds

        i think it would be a cool idea, if you have the cash but dont want to spend it on a power adder that can blow your engine, i guess theres certainly nothing unsafe about the fiberglass bodies..

        might be hard to repair though lol

          I would spend that money on power mods. An entire carbon fiber body probably will make the vehicle unsafe.

            you realize that those are just "bodies" for race cars.

            the only part that is metal on a 4th gen f-car is the back 1/4 panels, and hood. So there are no bolt on wieght reduction mods.

            a carbon fiber hood, is about the only weight savings i can think of.
