I took the easy way out and just had mine professionally installed

I'm good friends with the guys that own the shop, so they didn't charge me much at all.

yea can you tell us what they did to professionally install them? and yea i went to look at my car, and theres no obvious ways to take them out, like on other cars where they have two screws holding them. But here theres no screws. So i dont know.. and how much did the professional install cost u? thanks.

              ok

for 93-97 cars go under the nose and undo the bolts that hold that plastic peice that cover the engine area (directly below the fog lights).

              once inside

look for the general area of the lights its fairly easy from here unbolt and unplugs the bulbs.

it took me 1 1/2 hours to do this and I suck at car stuff :-P and that isn't a short time lol

yeah this has to be one of the simplest mods you can install yourself (besides the rear corner lenses anyway). You just go under the nose of the car, and there should be 2-3 screws holding the lense in place (there weren't any in mine, cheap bastard previous owner... they were just sitting there). after you get the screws out, you just lift it up and out, and then unplug the lights. Then take out the lights, put in the amber ones (hopefully you got a set that came with all 4 bulbs, otherwise you better hit an auto store before doing this), put them in the clear corner, screw it up, and bam you are set. Like JVT said this might be different for the later models, mine is a '95.

This is as easy as changing your front brakes. I can't remember everything exactly but it's easy. Remove the 2 black plastic thingys on the bottom side of the nose. I think they have 9 screws in each side. Yank those suckers down. The I think that there is 2 screws holding each amber one in. Take those out, drop the light out, remove the bulbs. Repeat process in reverse. Hope that helped. It's very simple.

I got some too for my Bird!!! Only prob was they sent the wrong amber bulbs! :( But it looks so pretty! :D

                            1. To install on a 93-97 Bird, you don't need to take off the front fascia, but it is easier to do it if you take it off. You can just turn on the headlights and disconnect the negative battery. Take off the plastic piece that covers the sides headlights.

                            2. From here, all you need to do is unscrew the 3 screws and it easily comes out. The bottom screw is the hardest. You need to do it from under, so loosen the closest screws under the car, and you can bend the plastic and unscrew the bottom one from there. Remove the yellows and replace it with the clears, and you just do the steps in the opposite order.

                              word to the wise....

when u take off the plastic piece below the front bumper for the first time...dont stick your head directly under there.....or you will get all kinds of gravel/sand/dirt in your eyes

i learned the hard way....luckily i was near the hose lol

                              :(
