not sure if this is what your lookin for or if this would even work for your project. i saw these one day and considered gettin em myself but didnt know if they would fit our cars or not. it might be worth a try i guess...

I agree,repair the crack in lense,but dont use silicone. Go to a glass shop and ask to talk to the guy that repairs their glass chips.
They can inject an acrylic into the crack that wont be seen when done. Then you can cover the repaired light and undamaged one with 3M clear urethane,which has a rock chip warranty.If it happens again after the 3M stuff is installed they will buy you new headlights.Im still waiting for someone to speak up and tell me how to convert H4666 sealed beams to HIDs.
