  • Headlight question again....

OK, I have a 94 Camaro. Is my only option for headlight replacement to replace the whole unit itself? It's part #H4351 (low beam) I've been to O'Reilly's, AutoZone, and Wal-Mart and they all say the only thing I can do is buy the whole unit, which is about $25. I was wanting some "white" lights, Slyvania ST's, etc...but they all said it's impossible to change the bulb out of my type of unit, which is why they sell the unit. Do I have any hope of getting better lights?

You can actually remove the bulb from the lens assembly. You need to break the resin that seals the bulb unit to the lens assembly - Take care.

What you'll need is some resin / glue to fix the replacement in place.

The bulb on the Camaro is exactly the same as is used on some BMW's.

You should therefore be able to go for your pure whites.

My mate 94CamaroV6 has now replaced both left and right low beams. (Replacement lamp units are pricey here in the UK)
