• HID REPLICA

Sylvania Halogen right now has these replacement headlights available. They are saying they are the closest to HID without being HID. They are called white lights, and they sell at Meijer for $24.99 a piece. Has anyone used these or seen these? I am wondering if it is worth it, and if there is truly a big difference from stock. I have a 97 firebird.
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!

I have the Sylvania 9005 & 9006 Cool Blue Headlight Bulbs, and they look much better than the stock lights.

I saw that they have the cool blue, these ones are the whole headlight assembly, and are white lights.

REAL HIDs cost well over 500 dollars.
$24.95 doesn't cut it.

I bought several different bulbs before I finally found the Nokya Blue 9005 and 9006s. These are by far the best bulb I have found. They are only about $35 for the 2 pair on ebay. I just blew my drivers side after a year but I switched both back to the sylvania cool blue and I'm utterly dissapointed with them. I put it an order on ebay about 2 hours after I blew my bulb. I highly recommend these and have gotten numerous complements on them. They don't flake like some cheap brands either....I had that happen and it really pissed me off.

You're referring to silverstars I'm sure, and theyre NOTHING like real HID lighting... However some people like them.

you are talking about silver star bulbs. they seem to be a really good deal, it's $50 a pair and they run at 4000K which is only 200K short of real HID. but the sad part is that there are no silver star bulbs made for the 98+ models. i assume that the same holds true for the earlier models because they should all be sealed beams and the silverstars aren't.

there are silver stars for the 98+ models i have them in my 02 camaro, i think they are great for the price, they dont look cheesy and blue but they give off a nice light....like a grey colored light i guess>?.....i just came back from a party at my school so my color discription isnt right, but they are pretty cool, go with sylvania silvers youll like em

well, camaros use a different bulb then the firebirds do. the firebirds have a sealed beam, and i don't think sylvania makes silver star sealed beams, and they may never cause it's kind of an odd bulb.

well they do the part number for the 93-97 firebirds is H4666ST

They also have the following sealed beams:
H4651 ST
H4656 ST
H6024 ST
H6054 ST

I don't know what size the 98+ lights are, however if they are 7-7/8" x 5-5/8" or 6-1/2" x 4" then you could get a H4/9003 conversion possibly

how would you go about the h4/9003 conversion? do you thin that you could just get the part off a camaro and splice the wires into a firebird? cause that is what i would like to do.

If the camaros use just one headlight then I'm sure it could be done
