Just wanted to let everyone know that I did the clear HVAC knobs last night - and made them glow red. There's a guy on here who posts frequently about using Testor's Red Oil Based Enamel paint to color bulbs. I wanted to let everyone know this worked like a charm. I love my new red knobs at night - they look great. Thanks for all your guys' help!

They're just clear under the rubber coating....so get a hair dryer (borrowed Mom's old ones) - heat up - let glue start to kind of melt - then I used some needlenose pliers to pull rubber off. The I used the red paint and a small brush to paint the bulbs. Worked like a charm - I'll see about some pics if I get some time.
