I painted mine with that metal cast stuff the anodized spray paint, a few base coats, and a few of the paint coats. It dries really fast. It looks nice too.
i didn't sand mine, just some primer, 2-3 coats of paint, and 2-3 coats of clearcoat
then i let them sit for a couple of days on some newspaper in the garage and they turned out fine, no paint smells or anything, and still look great after 6 months
I took a small flathead screwdriver and just popped them out really easily. I sanded them, primed, painted, clear coated and have yet to have a problem. Used regular everyday spray paint from strauss too.
