Tell me what ya think . I gotta say though that it wasnt an easy thing to remove the dash! I only wish there were a little better directions with the gauges as they said that 97 and up Camaros/Firebirds didnt need to remove any screws when in fact we did. The other trouble we ran into was removing the foglight switch! Anyway I had planned in the future to paint the interior so since it was such a hassle to get the dash out I decided to paint it also. Amazingly I found one lonely can of paint at Super Trak that was an almost exact match to the color of my car!
I added a little customization the the gauge as well ;)
those look sweet man!!! do they have anything for the v6 maro???

Thanks ;) . Yeah McEwen has gauges for the Camaro....V6 and V8's from 85 and up. Here's a link to his page http://members.aol.com/rmacewen1/index.html. The gauges look the same at night basically because it lights up only where the numbers/notches are...just like the stock. I'll take some pics tonight though
I really like that plastic piece that goes over the gauges on the Firebirds. It adds some nice distinction between the gauges. Would that piece fit over the gauges in a Camaro? Just looking at my dash it seems like it would, it's laid out the same. If so, does anyone have a part number?
Silver2000V6- I could be wrong, but I don't think they make them for v6's, only 150mph templates, or at least that's all I've been able to find. So we're out of luck... but the car looks sweet.

Here's a pic of what mine looked like with the dash out. Of course the birds and camaros are different. There was more to remove than McEwen's instructions said and we had a heck of a time removing the dash. We first pulled off the dash/cover/surround which was held in my metal clips. Then came the part where the foglight switch is....had to yank it several times before the part where the connector is would come out.
In this pic there are 4 screws that you remove and the whole plastic cover with bezel comes out. There are two screws at the top..one on each side and two more at the bottom.
Don't know if this will help ya. Good luck.
