I am going on a road trip this summer with my girlfriend and I am planning to be driving about 19,000 miles over a two month period. I was wondering if it would be safe for me to get a bra and have it on just for this limited time. It would come off as soon as summer is over. Thoughts on what ones to get and if this is a good idea? Thanks!!!
I see no problem in using one. The key is selecting the right one. The only one I would recommend is one made by Colgan. For the most part, the rest are junk -- that is they are not much good over 35 mph. The cheap ones flap in the wind, don't have the right backing and scratch the finish or worse.

Don't Get one of those black Leather bra, it streches, then flaps and scratches, so you tighten it, it streches flaps and scratches, then you will end up tightening it so much, it will rip flap and scratch.
I recommend the clear bra made by 3M. I don't have the lik though.
Its fine to only have a bra on for a short amount of time. In fact, thats whats recommended. Some people leave them on all the time, which i have been told is not good. It is recommended that you put it on for long trips and take it off as soon as possible.
I remember seeing some kind of protection, it was a clear plastic deal that went underneath the bra and was supposed to protect from scratching...can't remember where I've seen it. I"ll post if I see it, or maybe someone will throw it up.
I went ahead and bought the Colgan bra, paid about 100 for it. I was just wondering, would anyone want to buy it after the summer? Not selling it yet, just putting the notice out. Anyway, thanks for all your guys' input!
Justin, i think that is a perfect use for a car bra. If I was so lucky as to do such a big road trip, I'd get one. I'd probably never use it after the road trip, but it seems like it would be worth it just for the trip.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
